Alicia Eler is a Social Media Consultant and Writer specializing in the arts.
She is passionate about helping arts organizations and creative individuals develop their social media strategy, tweak their pre-existing social media, and build successful, thriving communities online. Whether the end goal is developing a Facebook fan page, creating a Twitter presence, getting people to an event or opening, or transforming a company’s entire social media platforms into hotbeds for conversation, Alicia works with clients to bridge the gap between on- and off-line worlds.
Services Alicia provides for clients:
- Developing Blogs and Social Media (Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Flickr, YouTube)
- Creating Social Media Policy
- Engaging Community Online
- Transforming Online Communities into Offline Events
Most recently, as the Arts & Culture Community Manager of ChicagoNow.com, the Chicago Tribune Media Group’s network of hyperlocal blogs, Alicia recruited, managed and worked with more than 50 bloggers on social media strategy and building niche Chicago-centric communities ranging from yoga to visual art.
As an art critic, Alicia has published in international publications such as Artforum.com and Art Papers. Her most recent video art show, Performance Anxiety, a collaboration with video art collector Jefferson Godard, recently screened on French and German cable television.
